the �International Constitutional Law� Key System

        "International Constitutional Law" refers to a comparative constitutional law system. As part of an ongoing project in comparative constitutional law, the system was developed to assign unique key numbers to each provision that may be found in any of the world's constitutions. The project has assigned key numbers to most human rights which are commonly embodied in constitutional form. Ultimately, for every provision assigned a key number, hyperlinks will be established on the International Constitutional Law web site to the point in each constitution where that provision is found. For more information on the key system, please refer to the key system home page on the International Constitutional Law site. The University of W�rzburg was the home of International Constitutional Law system from 1996 to 2003. It is currently at Berne University in Switzerland.

        For each provision analyzed in the chart, a link is provided to the relevant key number on the International Constitutional Law site, if any. In turn, the key number on the International Constitutional Law site provides links to a number of the world's constitutions, jumping directly to the relevant provision in each constitution. Note that constitutions are listed on the International Constitutional Law site using a two-letter abbreviation of the name of the country.
