IRAQ

In March 2003, a coalition led by the United States invaded Iraq and ousted President Saddam Hussein. Coalition forces and U.S. civilian administrators remain in the country, helping to set up a new government.

The capital is Baghdad. Located in the Middle East, Iraq is on the Persian Gulf and borders Iran, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
