ORGANIZATIONS and WEB RESOURCES: Asia Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institutions: Offers links to numerous national and regional human rights institutions. “News and Information” link provides complete access to the “Forum Bulletins,” the official publication of the Secretariat of the Asia Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institutions. Asian Human Rights Commission: Official site of the AHRC, a non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion of civil and political rights in the region. Provides frequent news updates, country-specific information and access to AHRC publications. Check out the “Human Rights Link” for an extensive listing of related sites and organizations. Child Workers in Asia: This site focuses on children’s rights and the child labor movement throughout the region, providing access to archives of CWA’s Newsletter and other publications as well as links to related sites. Directory of Organizations for Conflict Prevention in Asia and the Pacific: An online directory of domestic and international organizations involved in conflict prevention in the region, searchable by country, type of organization, activity or keyword. Human Rights Watch - Asia: Contains up-to-date news releases on human rights violations throughout the China, India, Southeast Asia and the Pacific regions, as well as access to HRW World Reports. UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific: Official site of ESCAP, contains up-to-date press releases and information regarding economic and social development issues throughout the region, as well as access to the ESCAP library.
