  • The Balkan Human Rights Web Page: Includes country-specific topics, organizations and publications.

  • Central and Eastern European Internet Directory for Human Rights: Provides a collection of links to sites with reference to human rights issues in Europe and the NIS.

  • Centre for Europe's Children: European document and information centre on children�s welfare, policies and rights. Includes full-text documents and a database with links to more than 500 websites.

  • Council of Europe: Official home page of the COE. Includes background information, news, texts of COE treaties and links to the different organizations within the COE.

    • Legal Affairs-Treaty Office: The texts of all COE treaties are available on this COE site. Signatures, ratifications, declarations and reservations are included. Html and word documents are provided.

    • HUDOCS: Sophisticated database of the case law of the European Convention on Human Rights. Cases can be searched by title, text, respondent, application number, keyword and many other fields.

    • Human Rights Web: The Council of Europe�s Human Rights Web provides access to the various human rights bodies within the Council of Europe system, including a link to HUDOCS.

    • European Court of Human Rights: Includes information of the court including information regarding pending and recent cases. For searching case law, users link to the HUDOCs database.

    • European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment: Includes text, ratifications and other information regarding the European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. Includes a database of all CPT reports, public statements and substantive sections of their Annual General Reports.

    • Committee of Ministers: Includes information regarding the COE�s Committee of Ministers, including their texts, resolutions and other documents.

    • Parliamentary Assembly: Home page of the COE�s Parliamentary Assembly. This site includes Parliamentary Assembly documents such as adopted texts and working papers.

    • Commissioner for Human Rights: Many documents of the Commissioner for Human Rights, including opinions and recommendations are available as PDF, Word and Html documents.

    • Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe: Includes information on the Draft European Charter of Regional Self-Government.

    • Secretary General: The home page of the COE�s Secretary General. Includes text of speeches and information documents.

  • Constitutional and Legal Policy Institute: The legal reform program of the Open Society Institute in Budapest, COLPI's mission is to contribute to the development of open societies in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Mongolia.

  • Derechos: Human Rights in EUROPE: Resource guide with links to regional human rights organizations, reports, and articles as well as country-specific information.

  • EUMAP: The European Union Accession Monitoring Program monitors human rights and the rule of law in ten Central and Eastern European countries and the five largest EU countries.

  • European Union: Europa, the official home page of the European Union, provides excellent access to official EU documents, especially recent documents.

    • EurLex: The EU�s portal to European Union law, including recent Official Journal texts.

    • CVRIA: Includes, among other things, text of recent European Court of Justice decisions
  • Gabriel: Gateway to Europe's National Libraries.

  • Human Rights in Europe: From the EU Accession Monitoring Program. Includes full-text reports.

  • Human Rights Watch-Europe/Central Asia: Contains up-to-date news releases on human rights violations throughout the region and access to their World Reports.

  • Minority Rights Information System: A comprehensive database of legal documents relating to ethnic and national minorities in Europe, provided by the European Academy of Bolzano.

  • Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE): Deals with issues including arms control, preventive diplomacy, confidence- and security-building measures, human rights, democratization, election monitoring and economic and environmental security. Web site includes many final documents, reports, journals and decisions.

  • Public Interest Law Initiative in Transitional Societies: Assists the development of public international law communities in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia. Includes links to anti-discrimination resources

  • Union of Councils for Jews in the Former Soviet Union: News, opinion, and advocacy.

  • United States Agency for International Development: Contains country-specific information and links to European and Eurasian resources.

  • VOICE International: Focusing on Central and Eastern Europe, facilitates the exchange of information regarding democratic development of civil society.

  • Women's Resources in Central and Eastern Europe and the Newly Independent States: Dedicated to empowering women and girls throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
